"First Saturdays" with DJ Vega at the Broadneck Cantina

We are pleased to announce that DJ Vega will now be spinning at the Broadneck Cantina from 10 PM - close on the first Saturday of each month!  Vega will be rotating in along Beat 2 Beat's own DJ Status, who currently holds down the residency there each week on Saturday nights.  Vega kicks off "First Saturdays" tomorrow night, 8/6/11.  With no cover and music videos in the mix on 4 HD screens, it's a night out that you surely won't want to miss!  Come on out tomorrow night and party with us!

Mix 2 becomes HFS

Well, as they say...all good things must come to an end.  Nonetheless, it's a sad day for dance music fans in Baltimore.  CBS has cancelled dance music channel 106.5-2 FM (Mix 2), and replaced it with a revival of the HFS alternative rock brand.  The move was officially announced on August 1st, and the new HFS channel is now being broadcasted on both 106.5-2 FM (HD) and on a low power outlet on 97.5 FM.  It is a sad day for the crew here at Beat 2 Beat DJs.  While we certainly don't mind alternative rock, we are all huge fans of dance music in general, and both DJ Vega and DJ Jon Boesche' were honored to be part of the Mix 2 WWMX family.  We'd like to thank everyone who has been following this blog and has downloaded the recorded sets from the Dance Factory mixshows.  We'll still continue to post mix sets, but unfortunately we will no longer be heard on the HD airwaves for now.  However, you can still catch DJ Jon Boesche' on Mix 106.5 FM, weekdays 8-10 PM, and in the mix for "Club 1065" on Saturday nights!

Jon Boesche' joins the Beat 2 Beat DJs team!

We are very excited to announce that one of Baltimore's most well-known and sought-after DJs, Mix 106.5 FM's own DJ Jon Boesche', has now joined the talented crew here at Beat 2 Beat DJs!  We feel honored to have Jon on board!

Jon brings with him 30 years of full-time professional DJ experience, inclusive of special events, parties, weddings, nightclubs, and radio.  In addition to past stints at B102.7 and Live 105.7 FM, Jon also held down a 6 year residency on XM Satellite Radio, spinning mixshows on both BPM and the 90's on 9.  Currently, he has a nightly radio show on Mix 106.5, and also serves as Program Director and Mixshow DJ for Mix 106.5's HD-2 Dance Music Channel, Mix 2.  Jon also holds a weekly residency at Mosaic, one of Baltimore's most popular upscale night clubs.
